What is your greatest weakness?
This is another tricky interview question. You don’t want to broadcast your “warts” to the interviewer. However, if you say you don’t have any weaknesses, that would appear to be one of two things – either you are blatantly lying or you are so self absorbed and have zero, zippo, nada self-awareness .
Here is an attempt at a realistic answer that turns the question around allowing you to articulate some of the traits that you bring to the table.
“My boss tells me I am a bit of a perfectionist. I like to do a thorough job, on time and under budget. Sometimes this requires me to work long hours. She suggests that I consider deliver certain less high profile projects using the “good enough go” philosophy which may allow me to better balance work life priorities.”
